1. Study demonstrated that PRMT9 is an oncogene that plays an important role in hepatocellular carcinoma cells invasion and metastasis through EMT by regulating Snail expression via activation of the PI3K/Akt/GSK-3beta/Snail signaling pathway. PMID: 29603830

Mechanistically, miR-543 inhibited PRMT9-enhanced cell oxidative phosphorylation, while miR-543 depletion promoted PRMT9-increased HIF-1alpha instability and inhibited glycolysis in osteosarcoma (OS) cells.
